Senior Clinical Director, VaccinesDr. Walker has more than 30 years of experience in drug and vaccine research and development from the bench to pivotal clinical trials and subsequent submission of NDA’s and BLA’s.
With a focus on infectious diseases, vector-borne diseases, emerging epidemics, pandemics, as well as epidemic preparedness, Dr. Walker has spent many years on the ground throughout Africa and Asia, developing response and research strategies in collaboration with National Regulatory Authorities.
Dr. Walker has also served at a Director level for both clinical development and operations for HIV, malaria, Ebola, Lassa Fever, MERS, COVID-19, and hepatitis vaccine programs. In all of these programs conducted in LMIC's, developing clinical research as well as immunology laboratory capacity have been the driver of successfully conducting Phase 1-3 clinical studies.
Dr. Walker is a graduate of Loyola College, Montreal (AS), Virginia Commonwealth University (BS), The Medical College of Virginia (MS) and the University of Iowa (PhD).
